Think about it. :)

Just heard a talk by an awesome big kid, seriously hilarious and wonderfully adept to the moods of children. Pulling all sorts of examples that resonates with what children would want (toys, toys and toys)..ad yet, asked to reflect to what end does those materials would bring in the end. Fighting over them and left broken (again and again). Dunya is like that. Broken pieces of toys.

But Akhirat...is everlasting. Quality, fulfillment, guaranteed.

Yet why do we choose dunya over akhirat?

Because we are:

1. Hasty (crave instant gratification- I want that now! )

2. Greedy (unsated need to claim more and more materials)

3. Wants a visible result (where is this pahala you speak of?  )

that's where Iman comes in

To believe

1. Patience of the reward

2. Thankful (syukur) of what we own

3. Have faith on that invincible scale weighing our deeds
